FAQ
WordPress or a custom build?+
WordPress if your team wants to publish and edit without calling a developer, which covers most business sites. A custom build when the site is really an application, when you need unusual performance, or when a page builder would fight you more than help. I build both, and for a business site the answer is usually WordPress, which is not the answer a developer is supposed to prefer.
Can my team update the site without coming back to you?+
That is the point of the CMS setup. Pages, blog posts, images, service listings and prices are all editable by someone who has never seen code. I record a short walkthrough of your actual site rather than sending generic documentation, so you should only need me for structural changes.
What does a business website cost, and how long does it take?+
A brochure site of five to eight pages is usually two to four weeks. Add a booking flow, a second language, or a dozen location pages and it grows from there. Will it actually bring in enquiries, or just look nice?+
A site brings in enquiries when it loads fast, says what you do in the first screen, and makes the next step obvious. I build in that order, set up the quote forms and call tracking so you can see which pages are doing the work, and structure the content so it can rank. What I cannot promise is traffic to a domain nobody has linked to yet. Anyone who does promise that is guessing.
